To Kim, From Kim: Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Gift to Herself

While we don’t do it often (mostly because the rest of the world does it a little too often) it’s time for a Kim Kardashian post. Sorry, couldn’t help it

Do you remember Kim and Kris’s wedding registry? We talked about it in June when it was “leaked” and so did just about every celebrity and wedding blogger. Our take was a little different – once we got past the initial reaction (which was WTF!) and had a moment of zen, we went back to our Wedding Republic roots – the belief that a couple should have the power to choose. No matter how ridiculous (read: $6900 vase) or ostentatious (read: total value was $140K!)

At the end of the day, most of their guests could probably afford it.

Now the rumor is that Kim is the recipient of another gift, a $450 000 Ferrari – the slick ride shown below. A wedding gift to Kim from Kim.

But did she really buy the car for herself? Sources – and by that we mean online celebrity gossip sites (grain of salt please) – are conflicted. According to RumorFix, in an attempt to ”cross our t’s and dot our i’s” they reached out to the newlyweds rep who said, “she didn’t buy it, it was a wedding gift.” When asked who gifted the beautiful ride to the bride Kim’s rep said, “sorry, no names!”

But if she did, we pose the question: Is it so wrong to buy yourself a wedding gift? Something to commemorate the event?
